A few more pictures...

I kept my niece Savannah the week before kindergarten started. The kids had great fun making tents in our living room. Here is my sister with all of the kids hanging out in their fort.

Aaron starts crawling...and not an army crawl like Elliott, he actually gets up on his knees.

Father and son at the last softball game. Elliott loved running the bases after the games this year. For a 3 year old boy, it's not a good day until your shoes are dirty!

Fun at the Beach

This year for our family vacation, we went to Fort Morgan, AL. There were 9 adults and 7 kids in our house, and more family right next door. Elliott enjoyed the water and digging in the sand. He and his cousin Savannah found some little-bitty shells one day and Elliott said they were seeds that he had to push down in the sand so they would grow. We have been learning about how things grow this summer, so I guess he's been paying attention. Aaron loved the water and splashed around in the little pools on the beach. Here are some pictures of our trip. Aunt Mandy has some more, but she has to take care of her paying clients first. She really needs to get her priorities straight! Hopefully I'll have them up soon!

Meet Bear Zeppelin

We have been spending a lot of time outdoors lately. Those of you who know me well, know that I enjoy a very small range of acceptable temperatures and then I become cranky. Matt lovingly calls this a Breach of Acceptable Temperatures. But since my firstborn loves to be outside, I am learning to adjust. We have been playing in the sprinkler, flying a kite, and playing golf and baseball lately.

Elliott also got to make his first bear at the Build-a-Bear store. He loved the attention and giving Bear a "bath," and we chose appropriate accessories for him - golf clubs and a tool belt. Elliott has named his special treat Bear Zeppelin, though he mostly refers to him simply as "Bear."

Aaron is trying desperately to move. He was strapped into his travel swing this morning and managed to sit up and grab hold of the bar on the floor. He looked like a chubby miniature acrobat. Then he had the whole thing swinging like he was a big kid on the playground.

Professional Pictures

You can see Mandy's newest pictures of the boys on her blog.

May 2008

So far, we've had a fun springtime at our house. We've been camping, gone to the zoo, taken a trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium, and celebrated lots of birthdays. Elliott still runs everywhere he goes. Right now he's into working with his tools and mowing our lawn (with a toy mower of course). He still enjoys golf and anything else that involves being outside. Aaron is doing well and growing fast. He loves bathtime, books, and his big brother. He hates sleeping. He's eating like a champ and cutting 4 more teeth (in addition to the 4 he already has). Matt is playing softball and planning for a mission trip to Mexico. We have been been working in our yard with a vengeance, trying to beautify our little portion of the Earth. Now I can get out the kiddie pool and look forward to summer!

April 2008

We went camping in April and did a lot of fishing. Elliott caught a couple fish (with a little help).
Elliott liked fishing with the "marshmallows"
